Since graduating from NIDA , Diane has had a successful acting career in theatre , including The Sydney Theatre Company, MTC ,Malthouse, SATC, as well performing in many commercial productions and musical theatre.

Di has a vast amount of TV experience, travelling & working on Network Seven’s Great Outdoors for over 10 years. She is also well know from many of Australia’s best-known television dramas, from The Restless Years, Cop Shop, GP,Water Rats, Fire and Fallen Angels, to ABC children’s TV. She is best known and well loved as Dr Alex Fraser in the classic Australian series , A Country Practice.

In cinema, she appears in Charlie and Boots (dir; Dean Murphy, with Paul Hogan and Shane Jacobson; the short films Shadenfruede (directed by Peter O’ Brien) Colin the Dog’s Amazing Midnight Adventure(and another story) director: Grant Scicluna . Past credits include Muriel’s Wedding and the comedy Emoh Ruo.

Di is an experienced teacher and drama coach – at NIDA with Corporate Performance and the Open Program, as well as The Actors Centre , Screenwise and The Macdonald College for Performing Arts.
As an educator , Di is experienced in several areas , having taught at NIDA with Corporate Performance and the Open Program, at Screenwise for screen acting and presenting, and at the Actor’s Centre.

At The Actors Centre Australia, she teaches Screen acting 101, Presenting and tutors individuals for screen and stage auditions. She has devised and teaches an eight week course ,”Unlocking Shakespeare ” , based on the work of Philip Parsons She has taught high school students in Voice , Movement and Repertoire at The Macdonald College for Performing Arts , years 6 to 9.

In 2009 Di was drama coach on ‘Penelope K By the Way’ , a science show for 5-8 yr olds for Freehand TV and ceebeebies (BBC)
